oldies but goldies

Everyone you know will say that their generation music was the peak of artistical performance, it was the best music ever created. I’ve always asked myself why is that, it should be a common framework of understanding music independent of generation trends that society may have. I know that Elvis, Sinatra, Abba, Gun’n’roses, Nirvana were all cherished as real artists but at the same time the perception that everyone’s generation created the best music is superimposed, even if  for less famous artists. I think it’s more likely to be dealing with  a recollection of times when there were no worries, commitments or other kind of constraints in living a carefree life, our childhood and youth.
